About us

GSI SLV Kunshan started her activities in China in May 2009. It’s a fully German-invested company. GSI SLV Kunshan is the only branch of GSI SLV in Asia.

GSI - Gesellschaft für Schweißtechnik International mbH was founded in 1999 and fully invested by by DVS – Deutscher Verband für Schweißen und verwandte Verfahren e.V. It is an amalgamation of efficient Schweißtechnische Lehr- und Versuchsanstalten (SLVs) with 80 years of experience in joining and testing technology. GSI is a non-profit-making limited-liability company which works neutrally for individuals, skilled-trade businesses, industrial companies, authorities and research bodies.

GSI SLV Kunshan will mainly offer the following services:
- Welder training and certifying according to ISO 9606 and corresponding welder certificates will be issued to the welders via DVS after getting satisfactory results in the welder test.
- WPQR acc.to ISO 15614-ff
- DVS Welding Master training according to DVS 1157, who get diploma after getting satisfactory result after the training. A DVS Welding Master is expected to be qualified to train welders in various welding processes, in order to improve welders’ skills and the quality of the products welded by the welders.
- Company Certification service on ISO 3834, EN 15085-2, EN 1090. Certificates will be issued by DVS to the companies which have got satisfactory result during the onsite audit.
